Description
Kinetic Towing Rope for heavier passenger cars and lighter vans. 3 strand stranded rope. This is one of the most abrasion, rot and UV resistant ropes available. Whether wet or dry, the breaking strength and elongation are the same.
This is a composite rope composed of a high strength polyester yarn and a high strength polypropylene. This combination gives it excellent abrasion resistance properties compared to any other type of rope. This strong construction offers flexibility, excellent abrasion, and heat resistance. Because this rope stretches less than nylon line, the snapback (the recoil) is lower.
12mm in diameter. Breaking strength: 2,565 kg. Stretch according to the new calculation of the OICMF adjusted to 9% at 50% of breaking strength. The old calculation assumed 27% but that was for a cable that had been used 100x. More stretch is not safe either, you don't want to have a rubber band between two vehicles, think what would happen to a harp shackle if something were to break somewhere in the structure.
This tow rope is perfectly usable for the 4x4 sport. The rope absorbs the peak load of the pull so there is no damage to the 4x4. We supply this rope in a number of fixed lengths but any other desired length is also possible because we make these ropes to length ourselves.
