Beaten cotton cord comes in a few, larger diameters and gives a slightly chunkier look.
Cotton cord without core and with core - what are the
differences?
With braided cotton, for certain diameters you have the choice of cord with core and cord without core.
The cotton cord without core is also sometimes called hollow. In this version, you have a braided cord that feels a bit more
flexible.
The middle is hollow, so you can press the cord.
This also gives you the option of feeding something through it, like an audio cable for example.
This way you get a nice natural look and you can give ugly cables a nice jacket.
Braided cotton cord with core consists of a braided core with a jacket braided around it.
This gives you a cord that holds its shape well and is not so easily compressed. It feels a little more rigid and is therefore a little
less pliable.
Nevertheless, the cord still feels soft to the touch.

Care tips
Since cotton absorbs well, it is best to keep the rope as
dry as possible.
Prevention, especially here, is better than cure.
Cotton cord can be washed, so if it did get very dirty, you
can wash it.
Not with hot water, as it will shrink.
Furthermore, after the cord is washed, make sure it dries
very well to prevent mold.
